  2. THE Title of my post is the “MAN IN THE MIRROR”.
    1) THRILLER is the biggest selling abum, worldwide, of all time.
    2) The dance in the THRILLER music video is the best music video dance of all time and will never even be equaled.
    3) Michael Jackson’s influence can be seen in some of today’s performers such as NE-YO, Usher, Chris Brown, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Lady Ga Ga, just to name a few.
This last saturday, me and my wife went up to Hollywood to see Michael Jackson’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The line was all the way around the block! The line was moving pretty fast and when we got up to his star, we put some flowers and took a picture. Since we were already up there, we saw the stars of Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon. Other stars on the walk of fame we saw: Gladys Knight, Samuel L. Jackson, Angela Bassett, Natalie Cole, Tina Turner, and others.
During the 1980’s, when the world was becoming more globalized, resulting in the erosion of local systems of meaning, Michael Jackson conferred significance to the pop culture environment. His music, his fashion, his artistry constructed an alternative cultural architecture that made salient a sense of attachment to the urban landscape thereby creating a congruence of culture and urban space. For those of us who love music, and for those of the 1980’s generation, Michael Jackson’s artistry builds an alternative terrain within the self by transforming the mind, the heart, and the soul into a single unified entity. May he always RIP.
