My goal was one full week of consciously cutting negative thoughts from my mental diet. Like any diet, I had a few setbacks.
I am proud to say that I feel great. Mentally, physically, and spiritually I feel rejuvenated. I had forgotten how to live in the now.
Now is really great, too. No more time travel to the past and future (Copyright, Eryka Badu).
I went to a morning prayer at The Potter's House yesterday. I like prayer. I have not mastered meditation. (I always fall asleep) I think sometimes in churches we want a production – singers, dancers, skits. I just wanted to pray.
So, I did that. I closed my eyes and prayed. I am learning now to close my eyes and listen.
