Super Nerdy Church Girl

A little nerdy, a little churchy, and a little flirty

Hypothetically speaking, let’s say you meet someone at a networking event. There is a dinner and a speaker. Let’s say, when you get to the table this person is seated. The conversation ensues, everyone introduces themselves. Said person seems great, kinda cute and intelligently converses with table guests.

Okay now it’s the end of the event and aforementioned person sees you in the hall and strikes up a conversation. At the end of this conversation, the person hands you their business card, the flip side of which has their personal info on it. You make a dorky joke and exit stage left.

Great right, especially for someone who hasn’t been on date as of recent times.

There’s only one problem. While standing in the hall, you notice this other person is really, really, really short. Well, this person is shorter than you are and you’re only 5′ 4". What do you do?

**BTW, The you, in this story, is a woman, and the other person is a guy.**

Pretend I’m looking for something in my purse – give him a big non-judgmental smile and say hello as I walk past….

I am only 5’3″ so I would be hard pressed to date someone shorter. But I am in the haven’t dated in a long time category and I don’t care who asks me out. If they are nice and can hold a conversation I am putting on some hills and going out.
I have a date with a really cute older guy. He is older than my parents. I don’t really see how it would go anywhere besides a couple dinners and friendship but hey I will get my feet wet and enjoy some nice dinners in the process.
    GO OUT WITH HIM…….

i can handle older. They are more likely to marry and sit in a corner some where while you live your life. lol
I know I am an idiot cause I’m not perfect. But i’m talking about Gary Coleman short, well not quite but I had to kill the urge to say “what you talking’ bout, Willis?”

Thanks for the honesty. I would like to think I’m open to any nice guy but would it kill for him to be at least eye level.

Ha did you run into my husbands boss? MMMM that’s a hard one I used to have a strict no one under 6feet policy but I married my husband and he is only 5’9 barely taller than me. SO it may be worth it to step outside of the box.

    Jazzy,
Does your husband have a brother? lol. I still would feel strange calling a guy first. I know it’s crazy.

If the only thing that bothers you is his height, I say give him a chance. =)

Can’t knock folks for their preferences … as long as they don’t get in the way of potential happiness. For as long as I can remember I’ve liked women who are taller than me (I’m 5’8). That said, I wouldn’t pass on a shorter woman just because she was shorter.

It is a preference but I feel guilty at the same time for being so superficial.

Yes he has a brother and trust me you would be better off getting to know the tall midget.
