What are you going to do differently in 2009?
I for one don't make resolutions or affirmations. I would much rather surprise myself with changes and reflect on them in retrospect. However, it is tradition, so what is your New Year's Resolution?

On December 21st, I bought myself a John Mayer Edition Fender Stratocaster electric guitar. I already have a Fender Acustasonic Junior amplifier. Way back in high school, I played the guitar in a band made up of my school buddies. My ambition back then was to be a studio musician at Staxx Records or at Motown; it never happened. Well, now that I’m retired, I’d like to play in a band again, or form a band of my own. I’d like the band to specialize in the soul music of the 60′ and 70’s… Wilson Pickett, Sam & Dave, James Brown along with some of the Latin Soul of Santana, Malo, Azteca, El Chicano. That is my New Year’s resolution.
