Katherine Heigl is truly annoying. She has now removed her name from the Emmy list because , "I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention," according to news reports.
Excuse me? I am particularly miffed at the apparent disregard for her cast, show, and the shows creator Shonda Rhimes. If she she wants out of her contract there has to be a better way to go about it.
Shonda Rhimes co-wrote Introducing Dorothy Dandridge with Scott Abbot and starring Halle Berry. History has proven her excellence in the numerous awards garnered by that picture. Not only is she the creator of Grey’s Anatomy, but also its spin-off Private Practice.
I have a very good memory, most of the time. I can succinctly remember Katherine Heigl’s pretty but vacant role as Isabel Evans in Roswell circa 1999-2002. Yes, you read correctly, Roswell, as in alien central. Her blank stares were just as riveting then.
Let’s not even get into that Isaiah Washington/Tr Knight thing that she injected herself into and kept going on and on and on about. Now she is back to bite the hand that has fed her.
Not to mention the fact that she’s not near as cute as she thinks she is. But yeah, first thing I thought of when I heard her Emmy thing was she couldn’t have possibly have slapped the writers in the face any harder.
