If you haven't heard, Alicia Keys is in love. . .with another woman's husband. (Allegedly)
Let me fill you in. This goofy looking producer Swizz Beats was married to Mashonda. They recently had a son together. In comes, AK playing the piano all over his heart and leaving Mashonda and baby Swizz in the cold.
Well, Mashonda did not let sleeping dogs lie. She wrote an open letter to Alicia Keys and posted it on Twitter(the extended version):

When I first heard this info, I did not want to believe it. I was just starting to like Key's music. I bought her "I Am" cd. I thought, wow, another conscious sister with pipes . . .just like. . .Lauryn Hill.
Just like Lauryn Hill, it appears Alicia Keys has "Fallin'" (pun intended) for another woman's man.
I DON'T GET IT.
On the outside these women seem to have it all – talent, beauty, success. You would think this would qualify them to get a man of their own. Why, oh why would you wanna share a guy? 'Cause you know they both were sharing him for a period of time. Guys don't always bathe regularly (or floss) so they may have been really sharing him. LOL
Karma is a female dog. We see how well it turned out for Lauryn Hill.
What happened with Lauren Hill please do tell (Kanye Shrugs)? Yeah I admire Alicia Keys as an artist. I don’t know what to make of this! Seems like it fits perfectly in this very corrupt world we live in! I will say “THIS” won’t affect my decision to purchase or not to purchase her album! It’s bad, it sucks, and if it were me my letter wouldn’t have been so nice…that is all!

is it possible that these women started to believe their own hype…Maybe everyone always telling them how “real” and “deep” they are and “not like all the other artists in the industry” has gone to their head, and they actually believe that they are better women for these men than their wives are. maybe they’ve convinced themselves (or maybe the men have convinced them) that the married man just needs a real woman in their life.
But on another note, women who seek married men typically have self esteem issues…for whatever reason, they can only feel loved if they know someone is willing to sacrifice their family and home life just to be with them. I guess this is why the BIBLE says it’s better for a man to seek a prostitute than a mistress.
Proverbs 6:26 for the prostitute reduces you to a loaf of bread, and the adulteress preys upon your very life.

I think some people forget basic golden rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This “love” they think they are having is misguided and destructive. No good can come of it.
