Lemons Are My Friends – Lemon Recipes

That's my new mantra. Since beginning work **thank you, Lord** and school, I have been having trouble getting used to my new schedule. I have been feeling the side effects – being super tired and constipation stomach discomfort.

I was reading this article about lemons (I know random), it lists the many benefits of drinking lemon water. I thought this would be an easy way to incorporate some healthy habits into my new schedule.

I used to drink lemon water all the time and my skin looked better and I felt better too.

According to my reads you should drink warm lemon water in the morning to clean the liver, flush out toxins, kill parasites, and generally improve digestive health.

For beauty, lemons improve the quality of skin, can clarify and lighten hair etc.

Below is a list of benefits and some recipes.

For digestion:

6-8 oz of warm water

1/2 fresh lemon juice

Mix and drink in the am and before bed

For skin:

Add fresh lemon juice to bottle water, Drink throughout the day; or

   Mask:

Fresh lemon juice

1 tsp olive oil

1 tsp honey

Mix and spread over face, leave on ten minutes, wash off.

Mask:

Lemon juice

oatmeal

milk

Use just enough to have a mask to cover face and neck. Grind the oatmeal in a blender into a powder. Mix all of the ingredients and apply for ten minutes.

I am going to start my lemon water regimen today and keep you posted through the weeks with new recipes and the effects they have on me.

If you have some recipes, please drop in the comments.

I didn’t know they were good for the skin. I knew they were good for the digestive system. I have to try that skin regimen though sounds good!
