First Lady Michelle Obama can not seem to catch a break. On the one hand, she is constantly bombarded by insults of the lowest order from racists. On the other, she is debased by women of color who feel slighted that the highest social status in the land does not belong to one of their Blue-veined Society members.
Apparently, some "affluent members of black society" feel that the Obama's have not bent over and kissed their ring. THAT'S BECAUSE YOU DON"T MATTER.
For those unaware, New York magazine published an article written by veteran Black journalist Touré in its latest issue titled "Black and White on Martha's Vineyard." In this ode to the affluent Black community in the popular New England vacation spot, Touré quotes an anonymous member of Black high society in Martha's Vineyard saying, "[Michelle Obama] is basically a ghetto girl. She grew up in the same place Jennifer Hudson did. She hasn't reached out to the social community of Washington." SOURCE
What is this really about? My gut says JEALOUSY, pure and simple. These people actually based their self-worth on the fact that their ancestors were perhaps serving in the house, related to the master, or born free. This makes them "special". Not the contents of their character, their own accomplishments, or their effect on the world around them.
Well, I hate to state the obvious -actually I am quite enjoying it- the "ghetto girl" is the First Lady of the United States, not a blue-vein.
Those blue-veins are silly. Don’t they know how much education this lady has? She ( and the president ) is a law genious. Michelle is also taking those two darling little girls in the same direction; they’re both in private school and Malia is already talkin’ about how she would like to go to Harvard.

No, the Obama’s haven’t been around to grovel and kissy-poo the white folks behinds like YOU and yours, so that makes Michelle “ghetto”? No matter if these people live on Martha’s Vineyard, it ain’t as big as the White House! My God, when have we EVER had such a good looking First Lady??
