Cozumel Part II

So where to begin . . .

014

This was the first thing I saw walking onto the ship. I thought, "what in the cornball heck is this mess?"

It looked like the ship had not been redecorated since 1982. The floor plans online did NOT do the actual ship justice. There was a piano bar with artists that seemed as if they had given up on their dreams long, long ago.

The life boat.

The weather was clear and the water beautiful. That was a plus. All of this took some getting used to. I guess my imagination is too grand. I expected something totally different.

We opted for the private beach excursion in Cozumel. Here are a few pics.

This was the best part of the trip. So serene and calm. I can totally see how people sell their belongings and become beach bums. Except not in a third world country. No offense Mexico. It is only when you take a ride outside the touristy parts that you notice. . .

I did enjoy the little shops.

Part III to come later.

  1. HAHAHAHAHA at this “There was a piano bar with artists that seemed as if they had given up on their dreams long, long ago,”.
    Which ship were you on?
And why you gotta call Mexico a “third world country”?
I swear that was the best sleep ever.Ever.

  2. I love the pix of that tropical beach. Is that a bottle of Dos Equis? ” I don’t always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis. Stay thirsty, my friends.”

  3. We spent five days in PV a couple of years ago and once you left the tourist areas it was a little on the rough side. Did you enjoy haggling?
