It is rumored that troubled diva Whitney Houston is preparing a comeback delivering a new album come March. It is also rumored that she will make her official debut at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Party.
Hopefully, all of the turmoil is behind her. I just remember hearing Whitney's voice as a child and being in awe at how effortlessly she managed both power and nuance in her songs. This is a comeback I anticipate.
It is also confirmed that Jennifer Hudson will sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on February 1st. This is to be her first appearance since the tragic deaths of her mother, brother, and nephew last October. She is also rumored to be performing with Whitney Houston at that aforementioned Pre-Grammy party. Rumors were denied by her camp that she would be performing at the Inauguration.
I am happy she has not given up on her dreams and life. I hope working will provide some healing for her.
2009 is shaping up to be quite a year for divas.
It will be so nice to see and hear them sing again.
Real singers are such a rarity that when they are gone, they are sorely missed.
Um…has J-Hud even been around long enough to technically qualify for having a “comeback”? I’m thinking not.
I know but that’s how all of the news outlets are spinning it.
I know one thing…if I hear her cut “Spotlight” on V103 one more dang time. I swear…they do realize she has a whole cd of music, right?!
I guess she technically never released her other material because her family died. The CD has some nice cuts on it. If they ever play any of them.
