Okay, So I Saw The Dark Knight and . . .

Christian_bale_2 . . .what is all this hoopla about Heath Ledger. The Joker was aiight, but did you see Christian Bale on screen?

I know I am behind the curve on this one. I know I am not really that into scifi, special effects-laden movies. I know I don’t really care that much about the Batman series/franchise, but I repeat, did you see Christian Bale on screen?

He killed as Batman. The deep scary voice of Batman, the intensity of Bruce Wayne. His character portrayal was amazing.

I understand the fascination with Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker given his unfortunate demise. I know this is the reason soo many people laud his performance as groundbreaking, because it was his last.Drkknight_3

But, seriously folks, did you see Christian Bale on screen?

  1. Maybe a person has to have an adequate frame of reference to understand what Heath brought to that part. There have only been two other Jokers and neither of them brought thru the tru pyshchosis of the character that is conveyed in the comic book versions the way Heath did.
Sorry, but Bale’s voice as Batman was a little distracting. I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be a joke at first or not. It didn’t sound right at all. It sounded like someone TRYING to sound menacing. It should have had a more natural sound to it.

I have to disagree with you, man. Batman’s voice actually scared me at first. I didn’t realize it was coming from Christian Bale.
I always thought The Joker was supposed to be calculating and derived his fun from the confusion of his nemesis/enemies. Heath’s portrayal was soo maniacal. It reminded me of Jack Nicholson in The Shining. IMO
