It’s okay. Still not sure what I expected from her for a first cut. The more I thought about it, I was thinking maybe I expected more of an acting career and no music.
She may feel obligated to put out an album out since she is an AI alum. However, maybe acting was her niche all along and it’s just an added plus she can sing.
I do like the light feel of the song though. It’s as if she was purposely going for a direct contrast of the heaviness of the role that made her famous in “Dreamgirls”.
I guess I will add my 2 cents.
This song sounds like 1980's Whitney. Its so darn catchy. Her voice sounds so great.
I remember hearing all this criticism of Jennifer's voice as being to loud and all she does is scream.
This song really shows of the QUALITY of her voice and really puts all these other artists to shame.

I liked the first cut. I so didn’t want to hear anything teen-pop as the first cut. Too many artists are competing for the 12 year olds.
